Obituary of Geraldine J Vannatter

Geraldine “Jerry” Vannatter (75) Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother died Saturday January 27, 2015 at her home in St. Maries, ID. She was born to James and Emeogene Titus on December 4, 1939 in St. Maries, ID. She was raised in St. Maries and graduated from St. Maries High School in 1957. She married Robert Vannatter on May 21, 1955 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. Jerry loved children and volunteered as a 4-H Leader. She later went to work for the Benewah County Extension Office. After Jerry retired, she took care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jerry loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. One of her favorite pastimes was to teach children to fish. She also enjoyed baking with her grandchildren. Jerry’s other hobbies included sewing, crocheting, playing cards, and working crossword puzzles. Jerry is survived by her husband Robert at home, her son Paul Vannatter and daughter Becky Pugh from St. Maries, and her son and daughter in-law Wendell and Char Vannatter of Post Falls, ID. She is also survived by her brother James Titus of St. Maries, sister and brother in-law Maxine and Ed Larson of Lewiston, ID, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jerry is preceded in death by her son Charles and infant son Walter Vannatter. Services will be held Friday January 30, 2015 2:00 PM at Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries, ID.
