Obituary of Linda L. Richardson

Linda L. Richardson (71) longtime resident of St. Maries passed away March 25, 2015 following a short illness. Linda was born on January 24, 1944 to Clifford and Dorothy Richardson in San Diego, CA. She grew up and attended grade school in Miami, AZ. The family relocated to El Cajon, CA where she graduated from Granite Hills High School. Following high school, Linda worked for TLC Rest Home which was a job she loved. She went to work at that rest home because her great grandmother was a resident there and she wanted to be close to her. Linda left TLC Rest Home and went to work for The Home of Guiding Hands which was a home for special needs children. Linda met a man she called “Grampy” who taught her how to roof, and she went to work for him. In 1980, Linda and her son Michael left San Diego and moved to St. Maries. She went to work for Valley Vista. Linda and her friend Juanita Dianda later opened Granny’s Pantry restaurant where she was a fry cook. After the friends sold Granny’s Pantry, Linda cooked at The Apple Tree Café and Handi Corner. Linda was known to stay busy by working various jobs and she retired in 2010. Linda enjoyed the outdoors, riding 4 wheelers, and fishing at The Big Eddy. She had a green thumb for plants. Most of all, Linda loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Linda is survived by her son Michael and Tonya Richardson of St. Maries, her sister Cherryl and Larry Fournier of Yakima, WA, and 3 grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date.
