Obituary of Kathy Ann Bice

Kathy Ann Bice (60) resident of Plummer, ID died August 16, 2015 at Life Care Center in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. She was born July 27, 1955 to William and Audrey (Baney) Furrow at Kennewick, WA. Kathy grew up between Washington State and Missouri. She married Ben Brown in 1972 at Walla Walla, WA. They were divorced in 1975. Kathy married Lynn Bice in 1976 in San Diego, CA. She was a homemaker and began raising her family. She and Lynn later moved to Woodburn, OR and lived for a time in Hubbard, OR before moving to Kaiser, OR where she worked for Smuckers Corp. In 1982, Kathy moved to Latah, WA where she continued to raise her family and was a homemaker. Three years later, the family moved to Mountain Grove, MO. Kathy’s husband died in 1993. She then went to work for Brown Shoe Factory in Mountain Grove. Kathy moved to Tensed, ID in 1997 and the following year made her home in Plummer, ID. She went to work for the Coeur d’ Alene Tribal Casino and worked in various departments. While working there, she met David Janson in 1998 and they decided to join their lives together. Kathy became disabled in 2002 and had to quit working. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Playing Bingo was one of her favorite pastimes. Kathy is survived by her husband David Janson at the family home. In Plummer. Her son and daughter-in-law Chris and Heather Bice of Republic, MO, Step-son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lisa Bice of Mountain Grove, MO, her daughters and sons-in-law Angela and Russell Johnson and Elizabeth and Chad Dunbar all of Norward, MO. Also surviving are her brother Dan Furrow of Walla Walla, WA and sister’s Sharon Hutsell of Mountain Grove, MO and Molly (Charlie) Warren of Fernwood, ID. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother David Furrow and sister Lois Gallagher. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Hodge Funeral Home with Rev. Janet Potter officiating. Her final resting place will be in Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Another memorial service will be held in Missouri at a date and time to be announced.
