Obituary of Donald Leroy Herra

Donald “Donny” Leroy Herra (59) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on November 19, 2015. He was born to Dean and Mary Herra in Custer, SD. Donny grew up in Custer attending school there. Following his time in school he worked many years as a prep cook for The Chief Restaurant in South Dakota. Donny was a man that loved to help people. He would spend a lot of time splitting numerous bundles of firewood for the campgrounds around Custer, SD. He also loved to sing and he had the most beautiful smile. Donny will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Donny is survived by his brothers and sisters in-law Gordon and Erica Herra of Farmington NM, Cliff and Debbie Herra of Emida ID, and Rodney and Brenda Herra of Dayton TN, brothers Melvin Herra of Rapid City SD, Gary Herra of Cortez CO, Raymond Herra of Custer SD, and sister and brother in-law Gloria and Pete Marcoe of Custer SD. The family would like to thank Hospice of North Idaho and Susan Trammel with the Nazarene Church. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
