Obituary of Marjorie Helen Beaver

Marjorie H. Beaver (71) longtime resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at home on June 7, 2016. She was born to Elmer and Violet Gould in Oroville, CA on August 21, 1944. Marge graduated from Oroville High School with the class of 1962. Following high school, Marge attended Junior College for one year. Marge married Gary Beaver on January 16, 1965 in Reno, NV. The couple started their family having son Mark while living in Oroville, CA. Two years later the family moved to Lewiston, ID where their daughter Dawn was born. In June of 1968 the family moved to St. Maries, ID. Marge was a very hard worker who had a variety of jobs in her career. She started out working 12 years for the St. Maries School District. Marge went to work for Archie’s IGA as a cashier and held that position for 8 years. Following her years at IGA, she spent a couple years working for Regulus Stud Mills, Inc. before putting in 23 years with Peet Shoe Dryer. During her full-time employment, Marge also worked various part-time jobs including the Smoke Shop, Janitorial services for St. Maries School District, Hughes Ace Hardware, Archie’s IGA deli worker, and one summer she even filled in as a Dental Assistant. Marge had an outstanding work ethic, working full-time through May 20, 2016. Gardening and working in her flower beds was something that Marge enjoyed. She also enjoyed camping; however her biggest enjoyment came with spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Marge is survived by her son and daughter in-law Mark and Sheila Beaver and daughter and son in-law Dawn and Jerry Sampson all of St. Maries, and brother and sister in-law Mike and Lisa Gould of Post Falls, ID. She is also survived by her Peet Shoe Dryer Family and 11 grandchildren. Marge is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary Beaver, and her brother Claude Gould. A graveside memorial service will be Friday June 17, 2016 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries, ID. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow at the St. Maries Nazarene Church.
