Obituary of Cheryl Marie Marshall

Cheryl Marie Marshall (66) resident of Fernwood, ID, died December 27, 2016 at her home near Fernwood. She was born January 7, 1950 at Santa Cruz, CA. Cheryl grew up in the Sacramento, California area. She attended schools there. Cheryl married Don Snyder in 1965 at Lovelock, NV. They then moved to England where her husband was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Son Daniel was born while living there. In 1966, she moved to Rio Linda, CA with her son. She and Mr. Snyder were divorced. Cheryl then married Robert Tyler in 1969. They later moved to Silver Lake, OR. Son Robert was born at that time. She and her two son’s then returned to Rio Linda and daughter Tara was born at Carmichael, CA. Cheryl and her husband separated in 1973. She and her children moved to various locations in California and Oregon where she cared for them. In 1974, she went back to Rio Linda and was divorced from Mr. Tyler. Cheryl then married James R. Campbell in 1976 in Nevada. The family lived in the Sacramento, CA area where James E. Campbell was born, and she continued to raise her family. In 1991, she and Mr. Campbell were divorced. Cheryl married Gary Wier in 1993 at Marysville, CA. and they were divorced in 2000. Cheryl married Richard Marshall in 2001. They moved to a ranch in the Emida, ID area. She continued to be a homemaker and work on the ranch. Her husband died in 2009 and she moved to her current home in Fernwood in 2011. Cheryl enjoyed ranching, horses and her domestic animals. She also was a caregiver for her brother David Penner. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and they were very important to her. Cheryl is survived by her son’s Daniel Snyder of Spirit Lake, ID, Robert Tyler of North Ogden, UT and James Campbell of Salt Lake City, UT and her daughter Tara Nunez of Ogden, UT. Also surviving are her brothers Jack Linsenmier of Yerington, NV and Carl F. “Rick” Penner Jr. of Midway, UT, Step-brother Gary Manchester of Salt Rock, WV. There are also 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews surviving. She was preceded in death by her brother David Penner in January of this year. A memorial service will be January 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Upriver Bible Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the church. Her final resting place is the Emida Cemetery
