Obituary of Mary E. Fisher

Mary Eileen Fisher (68) resident of St. Maries, ID died January 4, 2017 at St. Maries. She was born January 20, 1948 to Royce and Philomina (Hahn) Price in Torrence, CA. Mary grew up living between Indiana and Grenada Hills, CA. She attended grammar school at St. John Baptist De LaSalle at Grenada Hills. Mary graduated from Grenada Hills High School with the class of 1965. She married Jim Fisher after graduation and they lived in Hollywood and San Luis Obispo and later Tuscadero, CA. She opened a Volkswagen shop called Bug Works. She later worked as a switchboard operator for the California State Mental Hospital. They then moved to Indiana where she and her husband separated in 1974. She then returned to Grenada Hills where she met Jerry White Sr. They began to share their lives together and had two sons. They lived in Long Beach and later Templeton, CA. Mary and Jerry moved to St. Maries in 1990. She went to work for the St. Maries School District as a bus driver. She worked also driving the student activity bus. Medical reasons forced Mary into retirement after working for 12 years for the District. Her husband Jerry died in 1995. Mary enjoyed watching Western movies, spending time with her kids, spending time with grandkids, and making art projects. For the most part, Mary was a homebody who loved her children and grandchildren. They were her special interests. Mary is survived by son’s and daughters in law Jerry and Melissa White. and Waylon and Desiree White all of St. Maries, her sister Ruth Mora of Hollywood, CA , 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Sean Fisher and brother Ron Price. Services will be held at a date and time to be announced later.
