Sherry Larae Carriere Obituary

 


Sherry LaRae Carriere passed away at home on January 27, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 75 years old.


Sherry was born on May 19, 1949, and grew up in Thief River Falls, MN. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls. 


In 1970, she married James Stuart Carriere, with whom she had four children. She later moved with her family to Coeur d'Alene, ID, where she worked as a children's home counselor and hospice caregiver. She also volunteered at the Saint Maries Thrift Store and Food Bank. 


Sherry was a kind and compassionate soul. Her greatest love was sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and caring for others. 


She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlyn and Carol Jean Adamson; her brother, Arlyn Adamson, Thief River Falls, MN; and her sister, Arlys Adamson, Bemidji, MN. 


She is survived by her sister, RoxAnn (Adamson) Lindquist, Detroit Lakes, MN; her brother, Don Adamson, Thief River Falls, MN; and her sons: Josef Carriere, Minneapolis, MN; Joshua Carriere, Colfax, ND; Jeremiah Carriere, Ashley, ND; and Isaiah Carriere, Spokane, WA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Austin Carriere and Mason Carriere, Colfax, ND. 


In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saint Maries, ID. 


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Second Harvest Inland Northwest, 1234 E Front Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
