Obituary of Jerry Lee Widmer
Jerry Lee Widmer (78), resident of Harrison, ID passed away on March 2, 2025, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. He was born to Alfred and Carol Widmer on February 22, 1947, in Spokane, WA. Jerry grew up in Spokane and graduated from West Valley High School in 1966.
Following high school, Jerry married Gloria Browning, and the couple had 2 children; however, the marriage ended in divorce. Jerry also enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served 2 years overseas in Germany as a Tractor Mechanic. When he was honorably discharged, he returned to Spokane in March of 1968. Jerry worked for IML Freight for several years, and then Sunshine Dairy. In 1983 Jerry married his wife of 36 years Raejean. The couple moved to the Harrison Flats and Jerry went to work for JMF Company (Jack Buell Trucking) driving chip truck. He retired after 18 + years and sadly Raejean passed away in 2019. However, Jerry was blessed with love again when he met Pam Pryfogle while attending the Nazarene Church. They had an instant connection and dated for a year before marrying on September 22, 2022, at the Soaring Hawk Lodge near Plummer.
Over the years Jerry was a member of the St. Joe Valley Car Club, Idaho Goldwing Motorcycle Club Chapter H, and the Gem State Hudson Car Club. His passion was the Hudson car club and had an impressive collection of Hudson’s at one time owning 35 of them. He loved old cars and restored several over the years. If he wasn’t working on old cars, he enjoyed tinkering in his shop and scrapping. In his younger days he enjoyed boating and horseback riding. Jerry and Pam together had not only a mutual love for each other, but a mutual love for the Lord and they were active members in the St. Maries Nazarene Church. They were also faithful members of their Life Group led by Randy and Christy Oetkin.
Jerry is survived by his wife Pam at their home on the Harrison Flats, ID; daughters Suzie (Darin) Milliken and Candy (Blair) Thomen all of Spokane, WA; son Jerry Lee Widmer Jr. of South Carolina; bonus children Michael (Elizabeth) Pryfogle of San Francisco, Daniel (Chris) Pryfogle of Cary, NC, Andrew (Susie) Pryfogle of Boston, MA, and Mary (Ron) Nelson of Harrison, ID; brother Ron Roloff of Enumclaw, WA; 1 grandchild; 9 bonus grandchildren; 1 niece and 1 nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Sharon McClellen, and bonus son Mark Pryfogle.
Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the St. Maries Nazarene Church with a meal following in the fellowship hall of the church. Jerry will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
