Roger Patrick Cool (80) resident of Plummer, ID passed away on May 8, 2025, at his home. He was born to John and Dorothy Cool on January 8, 1945, in Dayton, WA. Roger grew up on Green Bluff attending Green Bluff Elementary and Mead High School. He graduated from Mead High School with the class of 1964.
Roger and Clareine were married over 61 years. He and Clareine lived in the Plummer area since 1992. Roger was a Plummer Gateway Fire Commissioner, and a Plummer Gateway Highway District Commissioner for the past 14 years. Roger and his team of horses hauled the Grand Marshal's for Plummer Day Parade, and offered wagon rides at the Plummer Assembly of God's Round-Up Sunday for many years.
Roger is well known and will be remembered for his love of the Lord, his love for his family and friends, his free advice and knowledge, sarcastic wit and humor, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and a cup of coffee and conversation any time.
Roger is survived by his wife Clareine at their home in Plummer; children Aleshia Cool of Plummer, ID; and Aric (Christina) Cool of Dayton, OR; sister Barbara Sapp of Hillard, OH; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way); numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Benjamin Roger Cool, 4 other angel babies, son-in-law Dennis McCarthy, grandson Mathew Seubert, and great-grandson Ryder Cool.
A Memorial Service to honor Roger’s life will be held on June 14, 2025, at Stillwater Mennonite Church, 1554 Long Road, Plummer, ID, at 10:00 AM. Roger's last wagon ride will arrive at the church at 9:45AM.
