Mark Aguirre (72) resident of Fernwood, ID passed away at home on June 3, 2025.  He was born to Costantino and Betty Jean Aguirre on February 7, 1953, in Boise, ID.  Mark grew up in the Boise area and graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 1971.

Following high school, Mark joined the Air National Guard serving a few years.  He held various jobs over the years and even owned and ran a bar in Horseshoe Bend, ID.  In 1975 Mark married Shannon Chaney and the couple had their son Beau, and Mark adopted Shannon’s son Shayne completing the family of four.  The Aguirre’s made their home in Meridian and after 12 years of marriage, Mark and Shannon divorced.  Mark was blessed with love a second time when he met Vicki Rohrey.  The couple married in late 1995, sadly Vicki died several years later due to cancer. 

With his health starting to fail and being a widower, Mark moved to St. Maries in January of 2022 and later Fernwood, where his son and daughter in-law could care for him.  Mark loved tinkering on things and had the ability to take things apart and at most times put them back together.  When he moved to his son Shayne’s farm, he enjoyed feeding the chickens and watching the pigs, but his most favorite was enjoying home cooked meals prepared by Michelle. 

Mark is survived by his son and daughter in-law Shayne and Michelle Aguirre of Fernwood, ID; grandchildren Isaac, Murphy, and Ethan Aguirre; sister Candida “Candy” Aguirre of Boise, ID; and nieces Costana Hornbaker and Laura Jean Graham.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Vicki Aguirre; and son Beau Aguirre.
