Barbara Ann Hult Obituary

Barbara Ann Hult (86) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at Kootenai Health on June 6, 2025 surrounded by family.  She was born to Aime and Margaret Williams on January 27, 1939, in Colorado Springs, CO.  Barbara attended and graduated from Kootenai High School in 1958.

Following high school, Barbara attended college for nursing, and she married Kenneth Hult.  The couple had 2 children and made their home on the Harrison Flats.  Years later they divorced, and Barbara continued to live on the flats before moving to her little apartment above the Appletree Café.  She went to work for Potlatch Corporation in the guard shack, a position she held for over a decade.

Many years later, Barbara and Kenneth reconnected.  They became snowbirds, living in Post Falls in the summer and Las Vegas in the winter.  They truly enjoyed this lifestyle until they were no longer able to do so due to their age, and Kenneth passed away.

Barbara was a devoted Catholic who held a strong faith.  If she was unable to attend Mass in person, she enjoyed watching it on tv.  She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary for many years.  Barbara also enjoyed traveling and held memories of Mexico, Hawaii, and Arizona.  She collected stamps, enjoyed canning and cooking.  As weird as it sounds, she mastered the microwave cooking anything and everything in it.  Most important to Barbara was her family, especially the time in her life she helped raise her granddaughter Heather as her mom and dad were on the road trucking.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Le Ann (Bill) McGregor of Spangle, WA and grandchildren Heather Burch and Chris Streissguth of St. Maries, ID, Crystal (Raff) Garabedian of Spokane, WA, Danny McGregor of St. Maries, ID, Kelsey (Rick) Springer of Spokane, WA, and Shareena McGregor and Cameron Dahm of Spokane, WA; and 13 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Hult, and daughter Mary Burch Bedwell.

At Barbara’s request, there will be no formal services, but a private graveside service with family.
