Emma Ann-Patricia Fuchs Obituary

Emma Ann-Patricia Fuchs (17) lifelong resident of Plummer, ID passed away on June 13, 2025.  She was born to Ryan and Lisa (Williams) Fuchs on July 11, 2007, in Spokane, WA.  From the day she was born, Emma was an adorable ray of sunshine who had a way of making everyone feel good about themselves.  She was spunky, energetic, colorful, giving, and always had to get the last word in.  Emma started school out in Plummer but attended grades 3-12 at Tekoa.  She graduated Tekoa High School this June 7, 2025.

Emma enjoyed most things kids do growing up rurally and in a small town.  She participated in track, basketball, softball, volleyball, and bowling and was talented at anything she did or tried. Growing up on Lovell Valley Road, she was raised among chickens, ducks, and dogs.  The animals loved her, and she loved them.  Her siblings believed she had style, and she loved the originality of coloring her hair often.

When she wasn’t playing one sport or another, you could find her with a book in her hand, a love she got from her grandpa Roy Williams.  Fantasy, Anime, and Romance were some of her favorite genres; Harry Potter, Twilight, and the Hunger Games were some of her favorite books.  Sporting a small statute and figure, one wouldn’t know she was a foodie; however, she was, and she loved chicken, donuts, bacon, popcorn, and the drink of choice was Mt. Dew, Sweet Tea, or a Twisted Sister Lotus.  She was even artistic, all her life she wanted a tattoo, and she drew and created a beautiful butterfly that she wanted to be her first.

Once she became of age to work, Emma went to work for Ed’s Quick Stop, and this is where she fell in love with customer service.  She later went to work for Zips and just spent the last year at the Coeur d’ Alene Casino’s Deli and then the Chinook Steakhouse.  Emma was goal oriented and had several plans following graduation.  Anthony Mathis became the love of her life, and she treated his 2 children like her own.  Her plans were to attend Lewis and Clark State College where she was going to obtain a degree in Criminal Justice.  Once she graduated, she planned on marrying Anthony and making Plummer her home.

To say Emma’s beautiful life was cut short is an understatement.  She was well loved by her family, friends, school, teachers, and co-workers and will be terribly missed by everyone.  Surviving her are her parents Ryan and Lisa Fuchs of Plummer, ID; siblings Surrenady Alires and Allyvia Fuchs both of Plummer, ID; grandparents James Decker, Jan Williams-Miller, and Earlene Williams all of Plummer, ID; Anthony Mathis of Plummer, ID; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents Leo and Linda Fuchs and Roy Williams.

A candlelight vigil will be held on Saturday June 21, 2025, before the fireworks in Tekoa.  Candles will be supplied but feel free to bring your own.  A Memorial Service to honor Emma will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 10:00 am at Tekoa High School.  The Fuchs family is so appreciative of everything their friends and community have done for them.  A special thank you to Jessica Johnson and Yolanda Bone for your help with everything you have done for beautiful Emma.
