Robin Marie Hill Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, Robin Marie Hill. Robin was welcomed into heaven to be with Christ and her parents on January 13, 2026, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, spending her last moments alongside family.

Robin was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Dr. George and Marlene (Beerman) Clarke. She was raised in Kingman, Arizona, the first among three. Growing up, she was a brilliant student and a champion barrel racer. She graduated from Kingman High School and later elected to study Nursing at Mohave Community College and Northern Arizona University. As a registered nurse serving in home health and hospice care, she demonstrated her deep empathy and compassion.

Set up by friends on a blind date, Robin met Steve Hill. As time went on, they fell deeply in love, and, after three years of dating, Robin and Steve married. Blessed with four sons, they built their home in Bullhead City, Arizona. With Steve’s support, Robin transitioned into a full-time mom, dedicating her time entirely to her family, the church, and the community. In 2007, they moved their family to St. Maries, Idaho.

Robin’s faith was the foundation of her life. Born and raised Catholic, she was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. She also was an active and devoted participant at the Church of the Nazarene in St. Maries, where her Tuesday small group held a special place in her heart. Robin’s faith was lived out daily through service and love for others.

Robin loved her family deeply. She and Steve never stopped dating, always making time for date nights and quiet moments together. She considered being a mother her life’s greatest work and found her happiness in caring for her family. She loved hosting and often said nothing made her happier than cooking for her boys. In their early years, her home was filled with their friends, good food, and laughter; as time passed, she delighted in gathering her children and their families together. Becoming a Nana was one of her greatest joys.

Robin also loved serving others. She was a lifelong mentor of women of all ages, offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support. She loved spending deep, intimate time with others and had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. She was and continues to be an inspiration to many.

While her primary interest was in serving others, Robin was an avid college football fan, not only supporting her Arizona State Sun Devils, but also the teams of her many friends. She loved riding horses and spending time both at home and in nature. She loved retreats with her girls and deeply loved writing devotionals about faith and motherhood that inspired readers around the world. She also cherished the peace and serenity of her home on the St. Joe River, where she would wake early for time reading her Bible, journaling, praying, and sending devotionals to friends.

Robin was a one-of-a-kind human who deeply touched everyone she met. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Hill, of St. Maries, Idaho; her children Steve (Samantha) Hill II of Sandpoint, Idaho, Chase (Siera) Hill of Sagle, Idaho, Ty Hill of Mexico City, Mexico, and Cade (Kari) Hill of Tualatin, Oregon; her cherished grandchildren Harlow, Audrey, William, Fredrik, Isla, and George; her sister Sparrow (Greg) Zralka of San Diego, California; her brother George (Amy) Clarke of Seal Beach, California; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. George and Marlene Clarke, and her parents-in-law, William and Mary Hill.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the St. Maries Nazarene Church in St. Maries, Idaho. Robin will be laid to rest near her family in Kingman, Arizona.
