Richelle Elaine Washabaugh (37) passed away on April 25, 2026, at Valley Vista Care Center in St. Maries, Idaho, following complications from early-onset Huntington’s Disease.

Richelle was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Holley Washabaugh, and her brother, Mark Jr.—all of whom were taken by the same devastating illness. Despite the challenges she faced, Richelle carried a light within her that touched everyone she met. She had a gift for finding humor in life’s hardest moments and sharing that joy with others.

She loved cooking, doing hair, exploring the unknown, and music—simple passions that brought her happiness and connection. Above all, she was a mother. Her beloved son, Jordan, now two years old, has been lovingly adopted by a dear and trusted friend, ensuring he will be raised surrounded by care and love.

Huntington’s Disease has left a deep mark on her family, and while there is still no cure, Richelle’s life stands as a reminder of strength, resilience, and the importance of compassion.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
