Jeremy “Shane” Frazier, born January 17, 1975, passed away on June 30, 2026. Shane called Green Forest, Arkansas, and St. Maries, Idaho, home, and he will be remembered by all who knew and loved him for his quick wit and relentless teasing.

Shane is survived by his parents, William and Betty Frazier; his children, Colton, Jaedyn, and Britney; and his beloved dog, Bristol. He is also survived by his sister, Ashley (Jordan) Hammons; his biological brothers, Cody (Randi) Frazier and Casey (Daeleena) Frazier; and his adopted brothers, Sam (Katrina) Mills, Jason Fernandez, Jeff Smith, and Tim Griffith.

He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who will remember his jokes and teasing fondly.

Shane raised two children as a single father and worked hard to build a life on his own terms. His career path led him to performance engine specialty school, Mondello Technical School in California, where he learned the skilled trade of working on race engines. A true gear head, he was talented at porting and polishing heads for performance. He operated his own shop for a time and later worked for Ed Nereaux Race Engines until health problems forced his retirement.

If you were lucky enough to get through Shane’s exterior armor, you found a man with a very big heart. He loved to aggravate people, stood up for what he believed was right, and if he found your weakness, he knew how to poke it. He was intelligent, hilarious, often fearless, and always lived by his own set of rules. The medical term may have been “noncompliant,” but Shane applied that spirit to his life entirely. He loved to tell stories. Shane had a gift for making people laugh and making people want to throttle him, often simultaneously.

Shane loved hunting for special coins and treasures, and he enjoyed the thrill of finding something worthwhile at yard sales (and sometimes even in dumpsters). Although he once hunted animals, he became a wildlife lover in his mid-20s and was known to feed the deer. He even named one that stayed around for quite some time and lived on the apples he gave it. He loved the challenge of fixing all kinds of things. He had a lifelong passion for cars, especially Ford Mustangs, a love of which he got from his favorite Uncle Tony. Shane loved Elvis and was an old soul at heart. He was known to be obsessive, easily excited, and hot tempered. He loved his back scratched after work and watching his backyard deer.

When Shane made it to a family gathering, he was usually four hours late with a smart-aleck comment preloaded. Additionally, he expected many or all of his favorite foods to be prepared. His family all knows he loved Mexican food, deviled eggs, banana pudding, rotel dip, and beef stew. He almost didn’t come back after the year Cody forgot the Mountain Dew.

He found unconditional love, and perhaps the first truly loyal female in his life, in his dog Bristol, who was his constant companion for the last 14 years. Bristol will be lost without him, as will the rest of his family. While Shane was not always the easiest man to give affection to, he did not seem to mind that his family kept trying.

A potluck-style Celebration of Life will be held at Cherry Bend on July 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
