Obituary of Marilyn Roberta Eichler

Marilyn “Molly” R. Eichler (80) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on May 29, 2016. She was born to Raymond and Marion Sullivan in San Francisco, CA on September 10, 1935. She grew up in San Francisco with her two brothers Ray Jr. and Ted, attending school at Holy Name School receiving a good education and foundation for her high school and college years. Molly attended Lincoln High School and graduated with a diploma. In Molly’s younger years her family vacationed summers at the Russian River, and when her and her siblings were a little older, the family would vacation to Cisco Grove where she learned to ski. In June of 1957 Molly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from San Francisco State College. She married Gene McMenamy on June 22, 1957 in San Francisco, CA and they had 3 girls and 1 son. The couple raised their family in Grants Pass, OR and were later divorced in 1978. Molly met Bob Eichler in 1980 and they were married. The couple relocated to Ontario, OR. Molly was a devoted and committed mother to her children and always found a way to make the best of difficult circumstances. She fully involved herself in their lives through Girl Scout Troop and PTA activities, planning family vacations and events and by always being a warm, welcoming, friendly and out-going person. She often said her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. Molly is survived by her son Michael McMenamy of Tensed, ID; daughters Kathy (Craig) Curtis of Alexandria, VA and Carol (Scott) Byers of Ward, CO; brother Edward “Ted” Sullivan of Santa Rosa, CA; and numerous grandchildren. Services are pending for her at this time.
