I'm sorry to read about Mike passing away. I would have tried to be there if I would have known about his services. I remember being in St. Maries when I was younger and visiting family. I also was able to see Spud and Nita last year. Our great grandmother was Mina Sweeney, and Mike's grandmother Rose was my great aunt.

We have so many wonderful memories of great times spent with Mike! He was always such a great friend! I love how he could always make you laugh no matter how bad the situation was!!!! Mike will be so very missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you guys very much!!!!!

Susie and Entire Mellen family, I just want to tell you my heart breaks for all of you. Mike was the person who made our Susie very happy and I am very thankful she found the love of her life. Mike had a twinkle in his eyes that when you saw him look at you, you knew you were next to get picked on. He made us all laugh.
Susie you told me Mike was fishing with his buddy who had also passed, and he was happy and in a better place now. I do believe and all I can say is. FISH ON. Someday you will once again see the man who made you glow.
Rest In Peace Mike and thank you for your service to our country too. You were a GOOD person and will be missed.

We always enjoyed seeing Mike's smiling face whether it was at Family Camp in Montana or in St. Maries at a family BBQ. Both Larry and I were delighted when he came back into Susan's life and became part of the family. Our heartfelt prayers go out to his immediate family and especially to Susan.
