Obituary of Cody Aaron Edwards
Cody Aaron Edwards (21) former resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on March 17, 2019 in St. Maries. He was born to Kevin and Brenda (Foulk) Edwards in Coeur d’ Alene, ID on December 11, 1997. Cody grew up in Spirit Lake, Challis, and St. Maries. He attended Spirit Lake Elementary, Clayton Elementary, Challis Elementary, Challis Junior High, and graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 2016. While in high school, Cody played football and he wrestled. He took on odd jobs to make money at the berry farm, or bucking bales of hay.
Following high school Cody went to work for Potlatch Corporation. In November 2017 he went to work as a Conductor for the BNSF Railroad. Long unknown hours with that job prompted him to go to work for Coeur Alaska Kensington Gold Mine in Juneau, AK. He was a hard worker, and all of his co-workers liked working with him.
Cody was a very social guy who was wise beyond his years. He liked to entertain people, and was funny his whole childhood making anyone he was around laugh. He was also considerate and caring, and put other people’s needs before his own. Although he seemed quiet and shy when one would first meet him, people would quickly find out he was funny and outgoing. He was a stylish fashion icon who had such a contagious smile he could brighten a room.
Cody loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, camping, and hanging out with his friends. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
Cody is survived by his parents Kevin and Brenda Edwards of Blanchard, ID; brothers Dustin (Jenny) Edwards of Rathdrum, ID and Dylan Edwards of Blanchard, ID; great-grandmother Freda Pine of Spokane Valley, WA; grandmothers Linda Pine of Spokane Valley, WA and Nadyne Bennett of Tennessee; aunts Khristy (Todd) Newell of Spirt Lake, ID, Leslie Rotenberry, Glenda Edwards of Johnson City, TN; uncle Blaine Rotenberry of Johnson City, TN; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
