Obituary of Lizzy Sitek
Elizabeth Sitek (68) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID on April 24, 2019. She was born on January 26, 1951 in Buffalo, NY, and grew up there. She graduated high school from Riverside High with the class of 1969. Following high school, she took a course studying Marine Biology. This was her passion; however college tuition expenses were unaffordable at the time and she was unable to continue her education.
To support herself, Elizabeth worked as a sales person in retail. She worked department stores and five and dime stores. In the early 1980’s she started selling Tupperware. She worked her way up to Manager for her district, and was even given a car for transportation. Lizzy loved this job, and worked for 12 years.
In 1998, Lizzy met Gary Sitek when she answered a personal ad in the local newspaper. The couple married on August 13, 2000 in Arcade, NY. They tried their hands in farming, and named their farm “Idaho Ranch” although they were in New York. Because of their love for Idaho, they moved to the Silver Valley in North Idaho with an end goal of St. Maries. In 2006 they made their goal moving to their property out near Emida. Lizzy loved her property and loved all of her animals.
Lizzy is survived by her husband Gary at their family home in Emida; step-daughters Kaitlyn Shaw of Tonawanda, NY and Kelly Einbinder of Phoenix, NY; brothers Al Becker of Arcade, NY, Paul Becker of Buffalo, NY, Russ Becker of Buffalo, NY, and Darrell Becker of Buffalo, NY. Also surviving are 2 nieces and 2 step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date
