Obituary of Linda C. DeVault

Linda C. DeVault (68) lifetime St. Maries, ID resident, died February 27, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. She was born December 5, 1944 at Farragut, Idaho.Her parents were Norman and Ruth (Potter) Carlson. She was raised in St. Maries where she attended school. She married Waldo DeVault on July 12, 1961 at Potlatch, ID. She made her home in St. Maries where she was a homemaker and raised her daughters. In 1979 she took a dietary class at Valley Vista Care Center and went to work for them as a cook. After five years at the care center, she went to work for Benewah Comm. Hospital as a cook in the dietary and food service department. In 1990, Linda went to work in security at the St. Maries Complex of Potlatch Corp. She retired from there in 2002. Linda enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. She also loved horseback riding. She enjoyed traveling with her family to places like the State of Nebraska, Canada and Yellowstone National Park. One of her favorite pastimes was attending her grand children's sporting activities. Linda is survived by her husband, Waldo at the family home. Her daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie and Ward Morris and Brenda and Robert Sibert all of St. Maries. Also surviving are her brother Arley Carlson and his wife Eva as well as her sister Darlene Davis all of Orem, UT. There are also 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren surviving. She was preceded in death by her infant son Lawrence Lloyd DeVault . Linda didn't want a funeral service. She was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Maries. Her family is planning a Celebration of her life to be held in the Summer at a date, place and time to be announced. The family suggests memorials to BetterCare c/o Benewah Comm.
