We know this is a time of sorrow, but it is also a time of joy. John's suffering is over and he is going to play his music in heaven. We are sure the LORD will enjoy some good country music. We never got to spend time with him, but knew of him from his son, we would have liked to have spent some time listening to his music and riding 4 wheelers while he showed us his forests. I know that is our loss. Rest in Peace John.

Dear Johnny, I sure loved playing music with you, SO many memories. I was just the tag along kid who got schooled by all of you seasoned musicians. I can see it now.... You, the Folks, Minnie, Bud, April, oh gosh...I can't think through the tears. Only a few of us left now. Save a spot for me, for in God's time, we'll be together soon. Love you my sweet friend... I remember Johnny playing music with Bud at the Calder store. We really enjoyed listening to his music and looked forward to their next visit. He was alot of fun and full of laughs and great stories. I seen him at Fighting Creek a few years ago. Was so happy to run into him and get to say hello and buy his coffee. John was a wonderful man and will be missed.

A very kind and talented gentleman. He will be missed by many, I was blessed to know him through good old Bill Brebner. I enjoyed every minute I was in his presence , with whatever crew he was playing with. He was a Great Soul and what a great family, one and all. Salt of the earth are those Sextons. God bless you Jonny and the whole family, thanks for the memories , good times, laughs and music.

His singing will be forever in my many memories. The last time I saw him he sang the song he always sang to me since I was a lil girl “Roses are red, Violets are blue.”
If I was over at their house when he got home from work we would run out to hug him and grab his lunch pale and thermos. My favorite part was hugging him because he always smelled like the woods. Never mind the sweat from a hard days work.
Hunting season was another enjoyable memory. He could be guaranteed to get his elk and use the chain saw skidder to help make getting others elk out of the hole a lil easier too.
You were loved by all that knew you. I knew you my entire life and now heaven can hear your songs. Thank you for the wonderful and loving memories that I’ll cherish forever Uncle Johnny.
