I was the principal at St. Maries Middle School when Hal and Gladys enrolled their great grandkids in the school. No spring chickens by any means , but totally committed to doing what they could for the benefit of their great grandchildren.
As a grandparent I know how tiring even a day can be with young family members. But Hal and Gladys gave everything, everyday. I remember Ashanna at the middle school, and the sacrifice the Dennis' made to get her to different school activities.
There just didn't seem to be too much sacrifice that Gladys could make.
My condolences...but the love will still live on.
