Obituary of Judith Ellen Bowers
Judith Ellen Bowers (78) resident of Emida, ID passed away at her home on January 9, 2020. She was born on January 28, 1941 to Clem and Florence (Drew) Tausworthe in Dimmit, TX. Judy grew up in Elida, NM and graduated from school there with the class of 1958.
In May of 1958, Judy married Howard Pack. The couple had their daughter Carol in Fort Huachuca, AZ on the army base and they made their home in Tombstone, AZ. After a couple of years the marriage ended in divorce. Judy moved to southern California where she went to work for Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a secretary. In 1984 she moved to Everett, WA where she went to work for Boeing. After 15 years with Boeing, she retired.
In her retirement, Judy bought 6 acres out on Sanders Road. She loved the seclusion of her property, and raised llamas and goats while caring for her 4 dogs. Judy was famous for the walking sticks she made and her folkart. A woman of many talents, her home was a work in progress, and she enjoyed working on all the projects that came with it.
Judy is survived by her daughter Carol Ranta, her grandson Rory Ranta, her niece Karen Alarcon, husband Robert and her brother Robert C Tausworthe, wife Camilla, sister in law Clarwana Tausworthe, numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ann Bye, James Tausworthe and William Tausworthe. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be announced at another time.
