Inez was one of the first people we met when we came to St. Maries in 1981. She was clerking at the Safeway and we were purchasing groceries for our new home. When the total was rang up, I reached for my ID. Inez waved off the ID saying, "We don't need an ID. We know who you are." For some reason that encounter made me feel really welcome. I last saw Inez walking the halls of the hospital. She was as spry and sharp as ever. I will miss her.
