Prayer of the Pararescueman
Angel of mercy watch over me.
In good times as well as bad.
In daylight as well as by moonlight.
I am just a man, I’m not
Immortal if my life is what
you want, then take it.
But before you do that,
Let me complete my mission.
For it is: These Things We Do
That Others May Live.
Amen.
You were 20. It was November 11, 1966 when your indeed mortal hand drafted those words. The content, however, is immortal and that content is your heart and soul. You lived your life by those words and because of that, you were many things to many people. An angel. A savior. A hero. A warrior. Ask any person you rescued, and I can assure you- you were many things to many people. Your reach was vast and expansive. You lived your life with valor and integrity, and you lived your life in service of others.
I was blessed you called me daughter. You taught me the difficult lessons in life- the lessons that take a man of great strength to teach. You prepared me for the tough times and built me with fierceness, tenacity and fortitude because you knew life would require that of me. You made me iron-willed and developed in me the grit that is required to live a full life- the grit it takes to seize a life well lived. You gave me courage. You gave me strength. You taught me gratitude. You showed me love.
You earned my deepest respect and greatest adoration.
You gave me the best of you, and you gave me all of you. What you didn’t prepare me for was life without you. But. I am strong, and I am those parts of you that will never die. To that end, it is my time now to honor you. So watch me live, Terry. Watch me live as you always told me to- smiling, because life is good! I miss you every day.
With everlasting love and devotion, your Little Miss Independent One.

Terry was our Brother-in Law. He always had a smile for you, was happy to see you and would do anything for you. He had a good heart and a good soul. He was loved by his family and we will miss him dearly. Rest In Peace Brother. Greg and Diana Harris

Chuck and I were blessed to call you "Friend" for many years. You helped Chuck with so many things that brought him joy--riding his 4-wheeler, hunting, figuring out how to fix an obscure piece of machinery. You grieved as I did as we watched Chuck's memory fade that last year. And you kept your promise to him to keep in touch with me after he was gone. I hope you are able to tell him that I am well and continue to love life in Idaho. God bless you with a peace-filled heart.
