Obituary of Cheryl F. Simons

Cheryl F. Simons (69) former resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at her home in Missoula, MT on October 3, 2020. She was born to Grady and Estella Wiggins on November 12, 1950 in Pasco, WA. Cheryl grew up in Pasco and attended high school there. Following high school, Cheryl married John Macki and they had daughter Carmell. The marriage ended in divorce. She then met Edgar Simons while he was working in Pasco. The couple married on July 6, 1974 in Asotin, WA. They had their son David, and she stayed home to take care of both children. At an early age, Cheryl began having health issues that were a result of a car wreck. She still enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos, attending church, camping, hunting, fishing, bowling, riding motorcycles, and spending time up the St. Joe River. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she was able to, she was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Spokane, WA. When Edgar died in 2018, Cheryl moved to Missoula, MT to be closer to her son. The rest of her years were spent there. To Cheryl, family was everything, and she will be missed. Cheryl is survived by her children Carmell (Mike) Gamble of Watkins, CO and David (Christina) Simons of Greenwood, SC; brothers Bob Wiggins of Pasco, WA and Rodney Wiggins of Tuscon, AZ; sister Clara Cabrera of Pasco, WA; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar, her parents, and her brothers Grady Wiggins Jr., Eugene Wiggins, and Jim Wiggins. A graveside service will be on Friday October 9, 2020 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries, ID.
