We first met Esther and Ted in 1981 when we first started Shiloh Ranch. Ted was so helpful to us by donating so much hay for our horses. I immediately was drawn to Esther - she took me under her wing and I felt like she was my mother and really wonderful friend. We loved having tea together and she was such an encouragement to us as we built Shiloh. She was responsible for us being able to have her brother Norm Scott and his wife Gertrude become part of our staff at the ranch. What wonderful years those were. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. One of the last times I saw her was just a few years ago (seems like yesterday) when she came to our home in Post Falls for tea. Then a little later we saw her at Norm's birthday party at Sandy's house. What a delight that was. Esther lived her faith and was such a wonderful example of Proverbs 31. I loved her so much.
