Obituary of Mozelle Moe Bergman

Mozelle W. "Moe" Bergman (87) former St. Maries, ID resident, died January 2, 2012 at Coeur d' Alene, ID. She was born March 24, 1924 to Joe and Nina (Arba) Walker at Haslam, TX. She grew up in Arkansas and Louisiana . She served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1949. She married Frank Bergman in 1962 in California. Mr. Bergman was a career Military. She traveled with him where ever his career with the United States Marine Corp. sent him. During this time, she worked in civil service and for the U.S. Navy Relief. She moved to St. Maries in 1971 when her husband retired. She enjoyed calling bingo games and coached Jr. Bowling leagues. She was a member of St. Maries Eagles Auxiliary and a Past President and Past Secretary and Past Sgt. of Arms of the St. Maries Woman's Bowling Assn. She was elected to the Hall of Fame for the St. Maries Woman's Bowling Assn. She and her husband were presented the Betty Mellen Bowling Award in recognition of promoting bowling and the advancement of the sport within the community. She is survived by her husband Frank of St. Maries, her brother Clyde Walker of Shreveport, LA. As well as her close personal friends Don and Char Smith of Coeur d' Alene, ID . She was preceded in death by brothers Joe Walker Jr. and Jack Walker as well as her sister Mary Fortner. No services were held and her final resting place is Woodlawn Cemetery.
