The first time I met Jo was on a paint out sponsored by the St. Maries ArtIn Council up the Benewah. I stumbled around and she made a little shed into a beautiful colorful painting. In the late 80’s we drove together to Othello to pick up her paintings from a show and to deliver my baskets for one. We stopped often looking at things, picking wildflowers and weeds. She sawShe and Mary B let me paint with them as well as go to workshops with them. Eventually there was a loose painting group which met in houses, the Fernwood senior center, the Worley firehouse and Palouse Divide Lodge.
