Obituary of Veronica Evonne Cross
Veronica Evonne Cross (49) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at her home on July 8, 2022. She was born to Rickie and Betty (Duvall) Boatwright in Sacramento, CA on March 12, 1973. Veronica grew up in Sacramento, CA, and obtained her GED.
Following high school, Veronica attended Sacramento City College and earned her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. She married Patrick Cross in Reno, NV, and the couple made their home in Sacramento. Veronica stayed busy raising 4 children and working multiple jobs including KFC, Gemco, and Food Source. Her marriage to Patrick later ended in divorce. Because of health issues, she was forced to quit work.
In December of 2015, Veronica moved to St. Maries to be with her family. She enjoyed St. Maries, and often took walks around the area. She also enjoyed watching movies, reading, and riding bicycles.
Veronica is survived by her mother Betty Boatwright of St. Maries, ID; children Christy (Daniel) Burley of Oak Harbor, WA, Melissa Cross (Michael Morris) of Post Falls, ID, Robert Cross of St. Maries, ID, Evonna Cross (Joey Heinze) of Post Falls, ID, and Eric Blakemore of St. Maries, ID; siblings Rocky Boatwright and James (Jennifer) Boatwright both of St. Maries, ID; and 2 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Rickie Boatwright.
