Obituary of Robert D. Hayne
Robert Dennis Hayne (63) resident of Spokane, WA., died August 9, 2013 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident near Calder, ID. He was born September 29th, 1949 to Walter and Barbara (Russell) Hayne at Fort Monmouth, N.J. Bob grew up in Spokane, WA . When he was 10 years old, he began taking martial arts. He also taught them through high school. While attending John Rogers H.S. in Spokane, Bob excelled in gymnastics. He received his 3rd degree Black Belt in Judo as well as Karate. He graduated from John Rogers H. S. with the class of 1967. Following his graduation, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army. He trained with the Army Special Forces and was assigned to the 7th Special Forces at Ft. Bragg, S.C. where he worked as a martial arts instructor as well as a weapons specialist. Bob married Patti Donnelly on Feb. 7, 1970 . During the 1970's, Bob attended art school at Spokane Comm. College. He was divorced in 1979. He married Carol Bond in 1986 at Spokane, WA. Bob was Honorably Discharged in 1989 as a First Sgt. He returned to Spokane, WA where he went to work for several area business as a commercial welder. He was divorced in 1995. Bob was a member of the Turning Point Ministries of Spokane. He was also a member of the Special Forces Assn., Chapter XXV of Mead, WA. and the Christian Brotherhood Motor Cycle Club of Spokane, WA. Bob enjoyed dancing and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Angie Hayne of Spokane, WA and his daughter and son-in-law Manda and Jacob Schuler of Colbert, WA. Also surviving are his ½ brother Hal Denison of Spokane and sister Katherine Shields of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Grandchildren Kaitlyn Gannon and Josh Hayne and Rebekah and Caleb Schuler.
