Obituary of Pauline Anna Louise Folsom
Pauline Anna Louise Folsom (75) longtime St. Maries, ID resident , died September 7, 2013 at Hospice House of North Idaho in Coeur d' Alene, ID from Cancer. She was born August 29, 1938 to Paul and Jeanette (Kenner) Peterson at Minneapolis, MN. Pauline grew up at Hines, MN and graduated from High school in Blackduck, MN with the class of 1956. Following graduation, she briefly attended college before going to work for the Lutheran Brotherhood in Minneapolis. She also worked briefly for a local nursing home before returning to Hines, MN to care for her mother. Pauline married Harvey Folsom on June 3, 1961 at Hines. The ceremony was performed by her father who was a Lutheran pastor. They made their home in Pennington, MN where three of her children were born until 1969. She moved her family to Avery, ID where her husband was stationed with the U.S. Forest Service. Pauline moved to St. Maries in 1970 where her fourth child joined the family. She was a homemaker all her life. Pauline enjoyed music. She played the flute while in high school . She also played organ and piano for St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was a member. Pauline loved animals, especially her cats. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Pauline is survived by her husband Harvey at the family home in St. Maries. She is also survived by her son Keith Folsom of Eugene, OR, daughters Carol Knapp and Debby Inez both of Coeur d' Alene, ID and Christy Folsom of Spokane, WA. Also surviving is one grandson. Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Greg Worch officiating.
