George Bradley Ohm Obituary

George Bradley Ohm “Brad” (69) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at his home on August 6, 2023.  He was born to Merlin and Marlene (Wiggin) Ohm on February 6, 1954 in Seattle, WA.  Brad grew up in Nevado, CA and attended school there.  While in high school, Brad sustained a head injury while playing football which left him with a seizure disorder.

Brad was a self-taught and extremely talented musician and drummer.  He played in several bands in California before moving to St. Maries.  While in St. Maries he sat in with Loose Gravel and Road Runner.  He supported himself by working odd jobs with a couple seed companies and restaurants, but his true passion was music.

Brad enjoyed playing the drums and as an avid fan of the 1980’s, he had an impressive collection of biker hats and coats.  Growing up he was blessed to have a father who was a stage technician.  He was able to see some very big bands play in concert and was on the set of Return of the Jedi, Star Wars, Howard the Duck, and Dirty Harry just to name a few.  Brad was a simple man who loved his family and enjoyed being with them.

Brad is survived by his sister Patti Colhoff of St. Maries; stepfather Bob Reeves of Tekoa, WA; stepsiblings Rogene Webb of Post Falls, ID, Shawn Reeves of Blaine, WA, Dawn Wade of Vacaville, CA, and Pam Johnston of Tyler, TX; and stepdaughter Heather Lindsay of Malden, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Cliff Pluff.

Celebration of Life services were held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Elks Lodge in St. Maries, ID.
