Patti Colhoff

Obituary of Patti Marie Colhoff

Patti Marie Colhoff (66) passed away on August 7, 2023, just a day after her beloved brother Brad left this world.  She was born to Merlin and Marlene (Wiggin) Ohm on March 17, 1957, in San Francisco, CA.  Patti grew up in the San Francisco area and graduated high school in 1975.

Following high school, Patti moved to Tekoa, WA where she worked as a babysitter, bartender, and waitress.  She met Chuck Pluff and the couple married in 1978.  They had 2 children, Cliff and Starr, and made their home in Plummer.  Eventually Chuck and Patti divorced; however later in life they became the best of friends.  Patti then met George Colhoff when her brother Brad was playing in his band.  He introduced Patti and George, and they had an instant connection.  She loved hanging out with the band and listening to music.  Patti and George married, but sadly George died in 1992 just after 5 years of marriage.

Patti spent some time in Tekoa after George died, then returned to St. Maries.  For 7 years she helped raise her grandchildren, and they gave her purpose again.  She was a phenomenal grandma who involved herself in the Heyburn PTO and was the chauffeur for the multiple activities her grandchildren participated in.  Whatever those kids needed, Patti felt blessed to be able to provide it for them.

Aside from loving her family fiercely, she loved the lake and river and took every opportunity to jump in on hot days.  She was a social butterfly who would take any opportunity to visit with friends or a complete stranger and she had a way of making people feel special.

Patti is survived by her daughter Starr Pluff in St. Maries; stepdaughter Shelley (Colhoff) and Doug Sines of St. Maries; stepfather Bob Reeves of Tekoa, WA; stepsiblings Rogene Webb of Post Falls, ID, Shawn Reeves of Blaine, WA, Dawn Wade of Vacaville, CA, and Pam Johnston of Tyler, TX; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Cliff Pluff, husband George Colfhoff, and brother George “Brad” Ohm.

Celebration of Life services were held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Elks Lodge in St. Maries, ID.
