Obituary of Lola Lisandra Bishop

Lola L. Bishop (Grenfell) 72 , resident of St. Maries, ID. Died September 28, 2013 at St. Maries, ID. She was born February 19, 1941 to Lee and Lola (Fulkersin) Bishop at Grassy Butte, ND. At the age of 8, Lola moved with her family to Victor, Mt. She grew up at Victor and graduated from Victor High School with the class of 1958. She married David Grenfell at the "Hitching Post" in Coeur d' Alene, ID in 1961 they raised their five children between Harrison, ID and the Silver Valley where she was a homemaker. She moved from Kellogg to Harrison in 1972. From 1974 to 1977, Lola worked at Valley Vista Care Center in St. Maries as a certified nurses aide. In 1978, she went to work for a local nursing home in Kellogg. She moved back to the Silver Valley in 1980. Lola retired from her nursing career in 1993 and moved back to Harrison. She then began working for the Harrison Elementary School as a custodian and worked there until her retirement in 2003. Lola was divorced in 2011 and moved to St. Maries. Lola's hobbies included gardening, sewing, crocheting, and writing poetry and songs. Two of her songs were recorded and produced on 45 records. Lola loved cats and took care of many strays over the years. Lola also loved the wildlife. She would feed the birds and deer around her home. Lola is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; David and Charmone Grenfell of Seattle, WA and Dennis and Michelle Grenfell of Coeur d' Alene, ID. ; her daughter and son-in-law Deniece and Nick Garcia of Federal Way, WA. Daughter-in-law Nola Grenfell of Kellogg, ID Also surviving are her mother Lola L. Eby of Victor, Mt and sister Helen Gallegos of Kelseyville, CA. She is a also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Lola was preceded in death by her son Craig Grenfell and daughter Angela Eggman. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Mr. Jimmy Scheel officiating.
