Obituary of Rebecca A. Rhodes

Rebecca A. Rhodes (81) former Emida and Plummer, ID resident and current resident of Terrebonne, OR passed away at her home on October 22, 2023, surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 10, 1942, in Colville, WA to Walter A. and Thelma (Nelson) Miller.  Becky worked various jobs to support her 3 children.  On September 27, 1975, Becky married Bill Rhodes and they added one more daughter to their family. 

Bill and Becky moved to Idaho where she was a home maker, Avon Consultant, and softball coach to her youngest daughter.  She started a ceramic shop in St. Maries, and later moved it to Plummer.  The couple moved to Spirit Lake where they lived until Bill’s death in 2011.  Becky then moved to Terrebonne, OR to live with her daughter Kim at Bill’s request.

Becky loved to crochet and make blankets and scarves for everyone.  She enjoyed reading, jig saw puzzles, hunting, fishing, crafting, and collecting many things specifically her bling jewelry.  She also enjoyed watching her grandson race stock cars and attending many of his races over the years.  When she was able, she participated in the Rebekah Lodge #95 out of Post Falls, ID and the Odd Fellows Lodge #142. 

Becky is survived by her son Fred Brown III of Christmas Valley, OR; daughters Becky (Brown) Jones of St. Maries, ID, Kim Humphrey (Gary) Coen of Terrebonne, OR, and Susan (Kenny) Brudeseth of Lewiston, ID; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter Miller and Richard Miller, sister Alice Faber, husband Bill Rhodes, and grandson Tyler Dean Coen.

A Celebration of Becky’s life will take place in July 2024, date and time to be announced.
