Cynthia Flesher

Obituary of Cynthia A. Flesher

Cynthia A. Flesher of St. Maries, ID passed away at her home on December 7, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born to Norcutt and Deloris Flesher on November 8, 1958, in Sandpoint, ID. “Cindy” grew up in the Priest Lake area, graduating from Priest River High School with the class of 1976. She spent her childhood on her family’s ranch where she developed a love for animals and the great outdoors.

Following high school, Cindy attended North Idaho Community College, obtaining her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Cindy put her education and passion for cooking to use, working in many different restaurants and bakeries over the years, a skill that she passed onto her son Ted.

Cindy spent many summers with her two boys picking huckleberries and fishing the creeks of North Idaho. Cindy enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, sewing, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren.

In 2020, Cindy moved to the Senior Apartments at Valley Vista in St. Maries.  She quickly made friends and enjoyed her time with them.  Cindy loved it when her friends would bring her baked goods and held morning prayer groups with them.  She also enjoyed watching movies, crocheting, puzzles, and going out on the patio, watching and counting the deer until almost dark. Cindy was a kind, selfless and loving person who made friends wherever she went. The Lord was very important to her, and she was a faith-based woman; when she was able to, she attended Church.

Cindy is survived by her children Ted Flesher of Elk, WA and Cory (Tina) Flesher of St. Maries, ID; her mother Deloris Flesher of Priest Lake, WA; brother Norcutt Flesher, stepsisters Marrina, Anita, Cheryl and Kim. Cindy had four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her father Norcutt Flesher, stepfather Ted Flesher and sister Virginia Lee Flesher Jepson (Ginny).

A Celebration of Cindy’s life will be held for her friends and family at the Valley Vista Senior Independent Living apartments Sunday, December 17th at 11:30.
