Obituary of Elizabeth Ellen White
It is with sadness that we announce that Elizabeth White of Worley, ID has passed away at the age of 78 surrounded by her family at home. More than a wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a friend to many as well and was key to founding our family’s business. Her whole life she has been an adventurous and strong woman.
Originally from Beaumont, TX, Liz was raised in Arkansas in the logging camps of the swamp lands. Later she moved to Michigan to raise her oldest two children Steven and Sharon as well as to put herself through nursing college. She went on to become charge nurse and head surgical nurse at Stanwood Hospital before meeting her husband of 49 years Edwin White. The couple moved back to Texas and had their youngest two children Samanthia and Nick White while building a successful construction company.
When the oil crash of the 70's hit, she once again moved the family, this time to Northern Idaho where she and her husband founded White's Concessions. She spent her whole life traveling and enjoying life with her husband and children all while teaching them that there is no excuse to be unhappy or feel trapped; that if you have the willpower and strength, you can have anything you want.
Liz is survived by her husband Ed; children Steven, Nick, and Samanthia; 9 grand grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
