Chuck will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a man with a passion for the Lord, nature, children, and learning. Many young people in the Calder area have been blessed by the time that was spent walking around his property, upon invitation to enjoy the vivid fall colors. Many years the students had the opportunity to hear about and learn to identify many coniferous and deciduous trees, including fruit and nut trees, as well as learn to determine the age of a majestic cedar. Mr. Barnes was a steady presence in the school, his voice reading softly to students and instilling a love of reading in many. I will miss his always smiling face and friendly conversation. I pray that the family is comforted in this time of grief, feeling the love of their family and friends, and the warmth of the Lord as He embraces Chuck in his eternal comfort.
