Obituary of Vicky Story
Vicky Lynn Story (73) resident of Fernwood, ID passed away on December 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Vicky grew up in Boise and attended school there. Following her schooling, she had a brief marriage that resulted in her 2 children. Vicky met Wes Story the first time through her son, and a second time when they ran into one another on a night out. They had an instant connection and married in 1981.
The Story’s made their home in the Caldwell and Nampa areas. Vicky was a home maker and took care of her children and worked for a bit at a nursing home. When Wes retired in 2001, the couple found property in Fernwood, ID. They relocated to Fernwood in 2002 and made the small town their forever home.
Vicky enjoyed fishing, canning, picking berries, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a strong woman of faith who enjoyed opening her home to anyone and everyone. She was a phenomenal cook who took pride in serving big meals around the holidays, making them just a little extra special for those she loved.
Vicky is survived by her husband Wes at their home in Fernwood; children Ellen Davenport and Sam Armas both of Fernwood, Tami Clark of Spokane, Jim (Maria) Story and John Story both of Nampa; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by an infant child, daughter Lydia Story, and all of her siblings.
