Obituary of Virginia Tiny Sines

Virginia M. "Tiny" Sines (75) lifetime St. Maries area resident, died October 25, 2013 at her home near St. Maries following an extended illness. Tiny was born December 22, 1939 to George and Minerva (Yunkon) Derry at Sanders, ID. She grew up in the Upriver area near Fernwood, ID and attended school there. She married Truman Sines in April of 1956 . Following their marriage, she began her family and was a homemaker. She and Truman started a cedar mill in Clarkia, ID. They operated the mill for 20 years. After they closed the mill, they started Sines Logging Co. and moved to Harrison, ID where they lived for 20 years. They returned to St. Maries when they retired. Her husband died in 2008. Tiny loved to fish, work ceramics and go to yard sales. She also love gardening and canning her produce from the garden. Tiny was a member of the St. Maries Eagles Auxiliary. Tiny is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Truman and Dixie Sines of St. Maries, Rodney and Donna Sines of Princeton, ID, her daughter Ginger Green of Oregon City, OR. Brothers Earl Derry and Lawrence Derry both of St. Maries and sister Dolores Reynolds of Princeton, ID. 12 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Sons James in 1958 and Randy in 1960. She was also preceded in death by brother Harold Derry. Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Maries, ID with Deacon Floyd Turner officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the St. Maries Eagles Lodge.
