Obituary of James N Kover
James Kover (90) resident of St. Maries, ID died October 23, 2013 at his home following an extended illness. He was born June 27, 1923 to Mark and Pricilla (Angel) Kover at Senecaville, Ohio. He grew up in Ohio and attended school there. He graduated from High School in 1941. Following graduation, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served four years in the Navy before his honorable discharge following the War. While in the Navy, Jim traveled to Seattle, WA. He loved the area and moved there after his discharge. While living in Seattle, He went to work for the Northern Pacific Railroad where he met Elsie Stiles who was the secretary at the office. They were married in Seattle on April 6, 1956. He was transferred to Newport, WA where he worked before moving to St. Maries in 1970. Jim retired from the Railroad in 1985. Following his retirement, Jim worked for the Idaho Dept. of Lands for a few years. Jim enjoyed carpentry and spending time with his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his wife Elsie at the family home, His son and daughter-in-law Mark and Cynthia Kover of Virginia Beach, VA and daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Brian Merriman of St. Maries, grandchildren Alicia Frazier, Trisha Anderson and Kris Anderson and 4 great grandchildren.
