Lance Falcon

Obituary of Lance D. Falcon

Lance D. Falcon (57) resident of Plummer, ID passed away at his home on June 1, 2024.  He was born to Irvin and Roberta (Matt) Falcon Sr. on November 17, 1966, in Subic Bay, Philippines when his father was serving in the military there.  Lance spent most of his childhood in Southern California, and when his mother died in 1974, his father relocated the family to Plummer.  Lance graduated from Plummer High School with the class of 1985.

Following high school, Lance attended North Idaho College in their Police Academy program.  He spent 2 years there before an unfortunate accident changed his career path.  He went to work at University City Care Center in Spokane Valley commuting back and forth from Plummer.  Lance also worked at Indian Country Fireworks where he took care of the warehouse and participated in fun shenanigans with his co-workers.  For over 7 years Lance spent time in security at the Coeur d’ Alene Casino, and when the golf course was built, he decided he wanted to be a part of it.  He went to work in maintenance and greens keeping at Circling Raven when it was built, he spent over 15 years there.

With a quick wit and a sense of humor, Lance always had a joke to tell whether it was clean or dirty (mostly dirty) and he appreciated it when people could dish it right back to him.  He was an avid golfer who had a drinking team with a golfing problem.  Lance enjoyed hanging out with his friends and they also enjoyed live music events, it didn’t matter if it was a big-name band in a concert or a local band in a bar.  A movie buff, he collected many movies and acquired all sets of sequels.  He possessed a lot of knowledge when it came to movies or music.

Lance is survived by his brother Irvin “Sonny” Falcon and Tanya Havier of Plummer; sisters Tina Falcon of Spokane Valley and Diana Falcon of the Seattle area; numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Family night was June 9, 2024, at 7:00 pm at the Rose Creek Longhouse.  A Celebration of Lance’s life was held on June 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Rose Creek Longhouse.  His final resting place will be Sacred Heart Mission Cemetery in DeSmet, ID.
