Lola M. Chamblee Obituary

Lola M. Chamblee (98) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away at her home on June 21, 2024.  She was born April 26, 1926, to Oliver E. Clarke and Leota L. Dilsaver Clarke in Taylor, NE.  She attended all 12 years of schooling at Taylor Nebraska except for 2 ½ months at a country school.


After graduation, Lola held several jobs including waitress, salesclerk, and a receptionist.  While visiting her sister in Parma, ID, she met and married Pat Beshey.  They were married almost 22 years before he died of cancer.  They raised 2 children, Patty Beshey Anderson Milliran and Robert Beshey.  Her children gave them 2 grandsons and a granddaughter which resulted in 3 great grandsons and a great granddaughter.


Lola sold the farm after growing season was over and bought a place in Caldwell, ID.  After moving in she looked for a job and found one in Ontario, OR. While there she met and married Wayne W. Chamblee.  They were married 36 years and he died of cancer.  Wayne and Lola retired in Kamiah, ID.  After Wayne died, she lived there 4 more years.  She then sold the trailer and moved to St. Maries, ID to be near her son.


Lola enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and knitting.  She was also a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in St. Maries.


Lola is survived by her children Robert Beshey of St. Maries, ID and Patty C. Milliran of Searchlight, NV; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 13 nieces; and 5 nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, and all of her siblings.


A graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries.
