Obituary of Douglas Raymond Sines
Douglas Raymond Sines 69 of St. Maries, Idaho, passed away on August 26, 2024, at the family home. He was born to Truman and Moreeta (Bannister) Sines on November 5, 1954.
Douglas R Sines was a lifelong resident of St. Maries, Idaho. He graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1973. After high school, he began his career as a logger. He worked for several logging companies over the years. He is said to be a legend in the woods in that he would stack trees by hand to make easier hooking and for his athleticism on the strip hooking logs. He made "big tracks" in his walk-through life. He excelled and stood out as exceptional. He married Diana (Yearout Sines) Farquhar, November 5, 1974, together they had a daughter Heather. Unfortunately, things didn't work out and they separated in 1991 and later divorced in 1999. They remained friends over the years. During that period, he met Shelley (Colhoff)- Sines and together they had three children Tracker, Shenelle, and George. After 33 years of being together, they were recently married on July 4th, 2024. Doug was the 13th out of 13 children: the baby of his family. (Dougie) was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer in June and his family would only be given 69 days before his journey came to an end. To many he was a legend and a friend, but to us, he was much more, he wasn’t just our dad; he was our hero. We love you....
