Obituary of Marshall D. Reddekopp
Marshall Dale (Bur or Burlap) Reddekopp, 80 of St. Maries, ID, passed away at his home in St. Maries on October 5, 2024.
Marshall was born in Tekoa, WA to Arthur and Grace Maxine (Hodgson) Reddekopp on November 15, 1943. He graduated from St. Maries High School in 1967. In 1968 he married Linda Tietz of Harvard, ID, raised two sons, and was later divorced. He served in the 409th Engineer Co. Army Reserves as a heavy equipment operator and was honorably discharged in 1971. He worked as a carpenter in the Seattle, WA area until he retired. He enjoyed gold panning, fishing, mushroom picking, and collecting “treasures” from construction sites he worked at.
Marshall is survived by his two sons David Reddekopp of St. Maries, ID, Aaron Reddekopp of Renton, WA, two grandsons Spencer and Aiden Reddekopp, and three nieces, Marla Tacito, Julianne Reddekopp, and Beth Reddekopp of Portland, OR. Marshall was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Lynn Reddekopp, and his sister-in-law Barbara Reddekopp.
