Walter (Walt/Wally) E Hendricks, 77, resident of St. Maries, ID, passed peacefully at Kootenai Health in Couer d'Alene ID,  on October 17, 2024.

Walt was born to Roy and Eleanor Hendricks on October, 25th 1946.  He was known for his love of life, unique personality and perspectives, and artistic flair.

He served in the Navy during Vietnam and received an honorable discharge.

He loved music, and enjoyed performing for a crowd on his Ukulele.  Throughout his life he had many hobbies and interests, including juggling torches and various handy crafts.  An avid gardener his whole life, he delighted in making and sharing his salsa and garden goodies and landscaping his beautiful mountainside home. In his retirement he joined the Eagles Club in St. Maries where he found a community, and loved playing in his pool league, bartending and hosting the Tuesday night bar bingo.

Walt is survived by his daughters, Katie (Chris) and Nichole (Stormmy), Valerie (Dana).  His favorite people called him Grandpa; Corbin, Alexis and Isabelle. He is also survived by his siblings Barbara (Alan) Plahn, Renee (Rick) Duke, Mike (Deborah) Hendricks and Petey.

Walt will be deeply missed and loved forever by his family, friends and the many lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held at the Eagles in St.Maries, ID, on Saturday 10/26 at 1pm.  All who loved Walt are welcome.
