What a wonderful man who raised a wonderful family. I will miss the days walking into Junction and being welcomed by him, him asking me out on a date (more than once), and all his silly stories - ultimately his great sense of humor. Some of his grandchildren are some of the most important people in my life. He did a good job, a really good job.

There has been a change of plans with the celebration of life. It will all be held at the Elks on Friday, January 27 at 10:30. With such a big family, there will be more room there. We look forward to seeing everybody there, and if anyone would like to share a special story about Grandpa, please give it to Floyd or Nancy Turner.

Bob was just such a colorful character....he's one of those people that is fittingly a St. Maries icon. Jim and I don't remember not knowing Bob and the wonderful Barden family. I always admired him for the great job that he did in raising his family after Margaret's death. Each and every one of his children is a wonderful person in their own right....what a legacy to leave behind. Thinking of you all as you celebrate your Dad's life.

Grandpa Barden will live on through our family and our special memories with him.
He was such a special Grandpa. He loved going to Junction every day for breakfast or lunch. And, he usually ordered the same thing so they would have it waiting for him. (1/4 taco salad) The ladies there were like another family too him!
I will miss taking the kids up there and him calling them Charlie. He also enjoyed going on drives up the river and spending time with our family. And, he could be a little stubborn at times, and unfortunately that trait has passed on in me and our kids! Thanks Grandpa. :) We love you always!

I always enjoyed Bobs company. I thought he was a great guy. Seems like he was always poking a little good natured fun at me and anyone else who happened to be close by. I can't tell you how many times I was greeted with "I've seen better heads on rutebegas! I think he actually pronounced it "rutabeggies". He will be missed. Bob always made me laugh.

Grandpa Barden will forever live on in our hearts. I couldn't have asked for a more special grandpa, and I will miss him dearly.
Memories of our drives up the St. Joe, Labor Day parades, lunches in St. Maries, him attending my spelling bees, teasing him about getting him a bulldog :), and the love he always showed for me & Camryn will comfort me, as the realization that I will no longer be able to come visit him sinks in.
Blessings & comfort to the many other family & friends who are also grieving our loss.
It puts a huge smile on my face to think that no longer will he have to carry the physical pain of his tummy, heart, lungs, etc. I've never known a stronger man, and I hope to prove even half as tough as him!
I love you, Grandpa, forever and always. :)
