Obituary of Adrianne J. Anderson

Adrienne J. "Dena" Anderson (70) longtime St. Maries, ID resident, died December 23, 2013 at her home near St. Maries following an extended illness. She was born April 24, 1941 at Wallace, ID. Dena grew up in Wallace, Coeur d' Alene and Rose Lake area. She graduated from Coeur d' Alene High School with the class of 1961. Following graduation, Dena married Michael "Mick" Anderson on Aug. 27, 1961 at Coeur d' Alene. She moved to St. Maries, ID in 1964. She was a housewife and raised her family. Dena went to work for the Ray A. Bowen Agency in the mid-1970's. as an escrow book keeper. She retired in 1994 the same year her husband retired from the U.S. Forest Service. Dena enjoyed traveling with her husband to Alaska and Hawaii. She enjoyed playing cards. Dena and her husband were rock hounds and enjoyed prospecting together with their family. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, making baby blankets for friends and working on genealogy . Her husband died in 2004. Dena is survived by her son Mike R. Anderson and son and daughter-in-law Bill and Judy Anderson all of St. Maries. Also surviving are her brother Danny Christensen of Oklahoma and sisters-in-law Carol Anderson of St. Maries, Kathy (Chris) Hughes of Priest River, ID and Kawn (Bob) Webster of Bonners Ferry, ID. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held in the Summer of 2014 at a date and time to be announced.
